| In an effort to raise funds for the scholarship program,
PCNAF is currently collecting used cell phones as part of a recycling
program, and will receive a donation payment for each phone collected.
It is estimated that as many as 130 million cell phones get retired
in the U.S. each year. These phones contain many toxins, so they
should not end up in landfills. Fortunately, however, retired cell
phones can be recycled to serve social good. The recycling programs
help to protect the environment and they also help charities. Persons
interested in supporting the scholarship program can donate their
used cell phone(s) in the following ways:
• Send your phones to the address below:
PCNAF
P.O. Box 18514
Washington, DC 20036-9998
• Donate your phones (more recent models) online:
Online donors can print a prepaid shipping label and send phones directly to the recycler.
